Are you alright?

Aww yes :) thank you. Nothing even fell down in my room, I think the building must be well built :).

i felt that earthquake too, babe. gosh, that was actually a bit scary. a 5.2 magnitude earthquake at 2 in the morning was not in my wishlist. lol.

Thankfully I was already awake. I think if it had woken me up it would have freaked me out more. I was sadly a little more excited than scared.

As someone who lives in Southern California, Earth quakes are not fun!

This was my first, so I was a tiny bit excited as well as scared (especially because nothing fell down or anything). I know very little about earthquakes- is 5.2 a decently big one?

It's medium

did it last a bit or did it go pretty fast? Sometimes earthquakes seem to just go on, other times they stop as soon as they begin.

[identity profile] babydykecate.livejournal.com 2009-08-27 03:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd say it only lasted about a minute or two, with some slight aftershocks.

[identity profile] ladysophiekitty.livejournal.com 2009-08-27 03:13 pm (UTC)(link)
It's scarier when they last longer. :/

I bet :(.

I played The Sims right through the only earthquake I've ever been in... I didn't know about it until the next day at school when everyone was talking about it.

lol :). I think there have been some I didn't feel here as well.

Oh dear. I think I am more disgusted at myself for being a tweeny bit jealous. :P
Mother nature never seems to get mad at the people living in Alberta. ;)

Woah, everything okay?

Australia really doesn't get earthquakes. I always forget that even though you're right next door NZ is supposedly on a fault line or something. =P What was it like?
